Building Better Opportunities
Building Better Opportunities (BBO) brings together funding from the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund (ESF) to help tackle the poverty and social exclusion faced by the most disadvantaged people in England.
1: Help the most disadvantaged
2: Tackle social exclusion
3: Be focused on the capabilities of each individual
4: Lead to better coordinated services
5: Create new opportunities for work
At Citizens Advice Wolverhampton, we are working with Steps to Work as part of the BBO Bridges programme.
We will be working with participants and other projects across the Black Country region.
BBO Bridges is focused on working with unemployed and economically inactive people aged over 24 and our service has two complementary strands.
1: We will provide generalist advice services to participants to help them overcome barriers to work
Find out more about BBO Bridges here.
2: We will provide our own skills development training and employment services in-house. This will mean offering structured work experience and development placements in an Adviceline contact centre.
